Curriculum Framework

BAALYAA Senior Secondary School follows Central Board NCERT curriculum under National Curriculum Framework (NCF). NIOS Board is a national level board of education through which students complete their Secondary & Senior Secondary school program. It is internationally recognized and students have been known to pursue their higher education across the world. NIOS, hence is recognized worldwide and the Association of Indian Universities, has issued Equivalence of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of NIOS.

The board offers students significant flexibility in their pace of learning. In addition to the wide variety of subject choices, it is possible to have staged assessments and a range of accommodations to support a heterogeneous group of students. The school curriculum facilitates students who – want to strike a balance between their academic and non-academic interests.

Knowledge Offerings

Scholastic: Subjects like English-I language, EVS, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Computer education and any II language (Tamil/Hindi/Sanskrit)

Co-Scholastic: Subjects like Arts skills, Drawing, Painting, Coloring, Hygiene, Health and Physical- Yoga Dance, music-Indian and Western and Out-door Games.

The School Follows 3 Language Formula. Arts ,Painting ,Tailoring are Vocational Subjects Yoga is Compulsory School Activity Chess is the School Sport Amongst the Other

For Secondary and Senior Secondary

The Courses are Chosen from the Subject choice given by the Board. The school offers for the following levels

Secondary:

Group A Language-English Compulsory (Tamil, Sanskrit and Hindi optional)

Group B Other Subjects: Business Studies, Economics, Science And Technology (Consists of Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Social Science, Computer Applications (Data Entry), Painting, Accountancy, Mathematics, Psychology, Indian Culture and Heritage

Minimum 5 and Maximum 7 Subjects to be Chosen ( Including English & One Vocational Subject Compulsory )

Five Subjects with Either One or Two languages from Group A or the remaining subjects from Group B

Senior Secondary:

Language: English compulsory (Tamil, Sanskrit and Hindi optional)

Other subjects:

Group A: English (Compulsory), Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil (optional)

Group B: Mathematics, Economics, Business Studies, Data Entry, Early Childhood Care and Education, Painting,Psychology

Group C: Physics, Environmental science

Group D: Chemistry, Mass communication, Political Science

Group E: Biology, Accountancy, Introduction to Law

Group F: Computer Science, Sociology

Five subjects with either one or two languages from Group A and the remaining subjects from Group B, C, D, E and F (only one subject from each group C, D, E and F).

Two additional subjects can be taken from any group (only one subject from each group C, D, E and F) with additional fee as per NIOS Board norms.
